ในประโยคเงื่อนไขแบบที่ 3 สามารถใช้ perfect form ของ present conditional ได้

เราสามารถใช้ perfect continuous conditional tense ในประโยคเงื่อนไขแบบที่ 3 ได้ หากต้องการพูดถึงผลที่ยังไม่สำเร็จหรือยังเกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องอันเนื่องมาจากสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นใน if-clause
ตัวอย่างเช่น
- If the weather had been better (แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้วสภาพอากาศยังแย่อยู่), I'd have been sitting in the garden when he arrived (ฉันก็เลยไม่ได้ออกไปนั่งที่สวยตอนที่เขามา).
- If she hadn't got a job in London (แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้วเธอได้งานในลอนดอน), she would have been working in Paris (ถ้าไม่เช่นนั้นเธอก็จะทำงานในปารีสแทน).

perfect continuous conditional tense
คำกริยาของ perfect continuous conditional tense ประกอบไปด้วย 4 ส่วน ได้แก่
would + have + been + v.ing (present participle)
Present participle จะอยู่ในรูปกริยา + ing
