Boston’s metropolitan area is home to more than 70 colleges and universities including world-famous Harvard University and MIT. EF students benefit from close association with Hult International Business School, the top ranked one-year MBA program in the US.

One of America’s most historic cities

Settled in 1620, Boston is one of America’s most historic cities. The American Revolution began here in the 18th century and more recently Boston has become a center of intellectual, technological and political ideas. To learn more about the history of Boston, we recommend a duck tour. A duck is a vehicle from WWII that has the capability to go on both land and water. The duck tours stop right outside EF Executive Institute. Local guides make learning the history of Boston fun!

Sporting and cultural attractions

Bostonians take pride in their sports teams. Boston’s baseball, basketball, football and hockey teams have all won national championships. Renowned Boston performing arts groups include the Boston Ballet, Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops.

Clam chowder and other culinary delights

Seafood is an important staple in the Boston diet. Clam chowder (or chowdah as a Bostonian would say) is a traditional Boston favorite. New England lobster is also highly recommended. Quincy Market is an excellent place to taste some of Boston’s culinary delights. Or visit the Union Oyster House, the oldest restaurant in the United States.

Walk the Freedom Trail

The best way to see Boston is on foot! Follow the Freedom Trail and learn about Boston as you walk through some of Boston’s most historical sights such as: Paul Revere’s House, Bunker Hill Monument and the USS Constitution. Boston is home to the Boston Marathon, the world’s oldest annual marathon and jogging is a popular sport for Bostonians of all ages. Join other running enthusiasts for a jog along the sunny banks of the Charles River – just outside the institute.

Testimonials

My course in Cambridge was truly exciting and rewarding, not the least because of the various people I have met: the other students from all over the world, my host family and the staff at school.
